a bèstia started with a simple belief, that human skin deserves ingredients that feel natural, uncomplicated, and familiar. Instead of relying on heavily processed plant fillers or synthetic fragrances, we hand-crafts ultra-simple, high-tallow skincare products designed to nourish and condition the skin with straightforward, natural, traditional ingredients.
Why Tallow?
Your skin is animal. Not Botanical.
Your skin needs fat. Not flower water.
Because tallow, particularly beef tallow, has a very similar chemical composition to our skin's natural oil, sebum. Both tallow and sebum are rich in triglycerides and share a high percentage of saturated fats, making beef tallow a good moisturizer and skin barrier support.
All of our tallow is rendered in-house, allowing us to ensure it is sourced from strictly antibiotic & hormone-free grass-fed suet, free of preservatives, and always fresh.
We don’t chase trends. We keep things simple.
What We Don’t Use
No fillers.
No fragrances.
No unnecessary extras.
We keep our formulas short and intentional: animal fats for richness, and a few functional companions like jojoba for glide, castor for lather, clays for a refined wash, and zinc oxide for a creamy, soothing feel.
If it doesn’t support texture, performance, or simplicity, it doesn’t go in.
How We Make It
Every soap and balm is made in small batches using traditional, straight-forward methods:
